Ryan Snow

Ryan Snow

Ryan Snow came to Texas in 2012 when he was admitted to Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Before coming to Texas, Ryan studied at Brigham Young University – Idaho where he met his wife Brittany, who grew up here in Texas. While at Brigham Young University – Idaho, Ryan majored in Spanish Education, and minored in Russian Education. As part of his undergraduate Spanish studies, he spent a semester abroad in Vina del Mar, Chile. Ryan also speaks Mongolian, as he lived in Mongolia for two years doing missionary work.

Upon graduating from Brigham Young University – Idaho, and before going to law school, Ryan took a job as a Social Security Disability Case Manager, where he assisted attorneys in preparing Social Security Disability cases for administrative hearings. While at this job, Ryan was recognized for obtaining several medical source statements; he was also able to assist in getting favorable decisions for a few clients without the need of an administrative hearing.

During law school Ryan served as a Staff Editor on the SMU International Law Review. He received a finalist award for the comment he wrote as a Staff Editor on the International Law Review. He also was part of the SMU Civil Legal Clinic for two semesters where he served as a student attorney, and Chief Counsel respectively. As part of his Legal Clinic experience, Ryan had the unique opportunity to participate in writing a “friend of the court” brief to the Texas Supreme Court arguing in behalf of a tenant in a landlord-tenant case. The Texas Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in that case on October 13, 2015. The case is Philadelphia Indem. Ins. Co. v. White, No. 14-0086.

After his first year of law school, Ryan spent part of his summer clerking for the Honorable Amos L. Mazzant in the Eastern District of Texas. During the second half of his second year of law school, Ryan also worked as a law clerk doing employment based immigration. Other legal experience Ryan has includes an opportunity after his second year of law school to assist the U.S. Pastor Council and Coalition of African-American Pastors in writing another “friend of the court” to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals for the case De Leon v. Abbott, 791 F.3d 619 (5th Cir. 2015). Ryan wrote the preliminary draft of that brief, which was edited and submitted by attorney Leif Olson.

Ryan graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law in May 2015, and joined Zendeh Del PLLC as an Associate Attorney.
