Jason Rowland, a Dallas police officer, might be fired for a DWI arrest. He was arrested in Denton County, Texas. Rowland was stopped for speeding on March 15, 2011 by a Hickory Creek police officer. He was eventually arrested for DWI and the case is currently pending.
As we blogged about several weeks ago, Dallas Police Department just terminated two other police officers for intoxication related offenses about a month ago. It appears, as with any large county, that Dallas is having a difficult time with officers being arrested for intoxication related offenses. Hopefully, Police Chief David Brown will wait to make his decision on the officer's future until he has all of the evidence.
