In Texas, a young man was sentenced last week to 20 years behind bars for
possession of drugs and firearms. According to the police report, 30-year-old G.A.
was found to be in possession of 15 grams of
cocaine as well as two pistols. Both were found on his person last year by state
troopers. After interviewing their suspect, the officers learned that
he also distributed the cocaine. He reportedly purchased 2 to 4 kilograms
of the substance every week from an anonymous source in Houston.
When police detained the suspect, he was found to have $50,000 in cash
on him as well. Police quickly obtained a search warrant and discovered
additional illegal substances and materials at his residence including:
marijuana, cash, crack cocaine, firearms, and body armor. He was charged with multiple
counts of committing a drug crime as well as being in possession of firearms.
A Texas judge sentenced G.A. to 20 years in a federal prison for being
guilty of possession of a gun and dealing cocaine. He, along with four
other people, was investigated by the Smith County Sheriff's Office
and the DEA, as well as a U.S. attorney. Are you facing drug crime charges
