Former Carrollton school teacher, aged 66, has been charged for sexually assaulting multiple students. The school is a private school for children with learning disabilities. The man was arrested on four counts of sexual assault of one child, and one count of indecency with a child by contact. According to police, there is also a fifth count of sexual assault that is pending.
The man helped find the school in 1998, and taught there until he retired in 2010. While the school runs annual background checks on all its employees, no issues were found with the former teacher. The man was arrested in his home, where all of the counts of assault are believed to have happened. The assaults started sometime between 2000 and 2006, and at least some assaults continued beyond that time frame, according to a police officer. All of the victims are boys who were between the ages of 14 and 16 when the assaults began. The investigation continues as police are urging anyone with information or who has been a victim to come forward.
