Texas Spa Owner Accused of Illegal Injections

A spa owner in South Texas is facing a trial in a federal court for allegedly injecting a liquid substance into her clients at the salon. The woman was indicted in March on charges relating to Food and Drug Administration regulations. She did not have permission to inject her patients with this plastic-like substance.

The woman ran Bella Face and Body Spa and supposedly injected clients that were seeking cosmetic procedures. One of the clients who requested the service says that she spent more than two weeks in the hospital. Investigators believe that the substance being used in these treatments was liquid silicone, administered incorrectly.

The spa owner was charged with receiving an adulterated device and then misbranding a device. She is not the only woman in Texas to be facing these charges. Many other women have also been charged with providing similar services in the area. If you have been arrested for performing dangerous medical procedures don't hesitate to contact a Texas criminal defense attorney today.
