A 58-year-old man, his wife and their 26-year-old son have all been arrested
in connection with a drug ring. They are also charged with money laundering,
as it is reported that they were laundering their earnings from the drug
sales in order to avoid suspicion. The family is from Waco, Texas.
According to CBS Houston, the family has been charged with conspiracy to
possession with intent to distribute marijuana. They have also been charged
with aiding and abetting possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The family was discovered to be apart of the drug ring when their home
was raided last November. The residency was searched on probably cause
after they were connected with marijuana secured in California and distributed in Texas.
The family is currently in prison. The father and son are being held on
a bond of $400,000 each, and the mother is being held on a bond of $300,000.
