Plano Woman Missing Since Labor Day Weekend

A missing Plano woman ignited a massive search and rescue response in the area after disappearing Labor Day weekend. The woman was last seen at 3:55 a.m. after walking through the parking lot at The Shops at Legacy in Plano. She was with a male friend who had been with her at a friend's apartment earlier that evening. The woman has not been heard from since the two separated.

The missing woman's employer called the woman's emergency contact to tell them that she had not shown up for a few days of work. She was then reported missing. The woman's car did not leave the parking garage of The Shops at Legacy and the vehicle showed no signs of foul play. Her phone has not been on but she was texting someone the night she went missing. Her bank account showed no activity following her disappearance.

Weeks of Search, Still No Leads

Volunteer teams joined forces with police to search for the woman on foot, covering a mile radius of the spot where the woman was last seen. A mounted search on horse was utilized to cover places where on-foot searches would be too difficult.

On September 10, the Federal Aviation Administration approved the use of drone to search for the woman. Emergency use was granted to a volunteer search organization to use the device to cover ground that may be difficult for searchers to reach.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for any tips that lead to the recovery of the missing woman. Police worry that actions that occurred the night the woman went missing, namely some patrons of the party that may have driven after drinking, is preventing them from coming forward with information.

After finding no leads leading to the disappearance of the woman, volunteer efforts to find her were suspended September 15. Law enforcement is continuing their investigation and requesting that anyone with information call Plano police.
