If Spanish is your first language and you are studying for the naturalization
test, we have good news for you: the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS) has launched an online Spanish-language civics practice
test, brought to you by the Task Force on New American initiatives.
On Nov. 19, 2015, the USCIS announced that it is offering an online Spanish-language
civics practice test, which joined the English version released earlier
in the year.
Each of the questions are presented in English, however, they are accompanied
by Spanish subtitles, which focus on basic U.S. history and government
topics, according to the USCIS.
Help for Spanish-Speaking Permanent Residents
The USCIS launched the Spanish version with the intention of helping Spanish-speaking
lawful permanent residents better study for the naturalization test. The
USCIS believes that by offering a Spanish version, it’ll be easier
for applicants to retain the information while gaining a firmer grasp
on the English language.
The Spanish practice tests are a part of the Task Force on New Americans
initiatives, and are available online at my.uscis.gov.
