A girl flew alone from New York to Chicago on July 15, 2015 and while on
that flight, she reported being touched inappropriately by a man who was
a passenger on the flight. After learning of their daughter’s experience,

After the flight, M. Asif Chaudhry was arrested on suspicion of engaging in
sexual contact with a victim between the ages of 12 and 16.

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs are alleging that as the girl
slept, Chaudhry moved to an open seat beside her. She reported to have
been roused from sleep by his inappropriate touching.
When Chaudhry got up from his seat to use the restroom, the girl took the
opportunity to alert one of the flight attendants. When the flight landed,
Chaudhry was met by FBI agents.
American Airlines says that it cares deeply about its young passengers
and is fully cooperating with law enforcement.
