Respiratory System Disability: Episodic Respiratory Disease

Can one be found disabled, under the SSA definition, if they suffer from respiratory disease, episodically? Generally, a respiratory impairment that occurs frequently, but it is not a consistent pain, occurs when a person has asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, or chronic asthmatic bronchitis.
If a person suffers from this condition, they must demonstrate detailed documentation that includes any hospital or emergency visits, clinical and laboratory findings, the treatment that was administered, and the response by the patient to the treatment. [Note: the SSA does not concern itself with hospital admissions that are less than 24 hours.] Finally, the claimant must demonstrate that they strictly adhered to the prescribed regiment of treatment.
