Capital Felony (capital murder):
Death or Life Imprisonment.
Second Degree Felony:
Confinement for a term from 2 to 20 years in prison; and an optional fine not to exceed $10,000.
Third Degree Felony:
Confinement for 2 to 10 years in prison; and maximum fine of $10,000.
State Jail Felony:
Confinement for 180 days to 2 years in state jail; and maximum fine of $10,000 (also can be punished under section 12.44(a) or (b)).
Class A Misdemeanor:
Confinement up to 1 year in county jail; and/or a maximum fine of $4,000.
Class B Misdemeanor:
Confinement up to 180 days in county jail; and/or $2,000.
Class C Misdemeanor:
No confinement and a fine not to exceed $500 (up to 6 months deferred disposition).
