According to the Federal Times, the SSA has halted mailing all paper statements
of earnings and benefits to millions of Americans for the time being.
They say that they cannot currently afford the millions that they will
need to spend in production and postage costs in order to mail the tangible
copies out to the Americans who typically receive the statements. Most
of the mailers that will not go out are handy documents that give recipients
an idea of what to expect when it comes to Social Security retirement
or disability income.
Most of the same information is also available online, which is why the
SSA has decided to postpone mailings. Yet many of the men and women who
are eligible for disability benefits or retirement do not use computers
frequently. Many elderly individuals still communicate through letters,
because this is how they grew up. These people may fail to obtain the
significant changes and information that they need to obtain SSDI. If
you failed to apply for SSDI correctly because of a lack of information,
and were denied disability insurance, you may want to contact a SSDI attorney
and ask for aid.
If you want to appeal a denied SSDI application, then you will want a hardworking,
convincing attorney on your side to convince the government that you truly
need SSDI. You may need to compile medical records, find testimonies,
interview previous employers and more to show that you are severely debilitated
and don’t have the physical ability to make the money that you would
need to generate for an adequate income. Contact a SSDI lawyer at the
Zendeh Del Law Firm, PLLC today if you want more information, or if you need details about applying
for SSDI.
